How much tea is in each package?

Bonsabi original blends contain 2-4oz of tea depending on the blend. Each package contains enough tea for forty to sixty 8oz servings. Bonsabi Select single origin teas contain 0.5 to 2oz of tea depending on the variety. Each bag contains enough tea for 15 to 30 8oz servings.

How long does tea stay fresh?

It varies by tea type, storage conditions, and personal preference, but in general green teas last around one year from purchase date, and black teas up to two years. Proper storage in an airtight container kept away from heat, light, and moisture is essential to extending shelf life. If you’re really picky, you can store your tea in the freezer.

Do you offer samples?

While I don’t currently offer sample sizes for any of my teas, feel free to reach out if you’re particularly curious about a specific tea but hesitant to commit to buying a whole bag. I’m happy to send single-servings along with any regular tea order. Shoot me an email at bonsabi.tea@gmail.com

What is your return policy?

I’ve sold enough tea at this point in my career that I’m confident in the quality and consistency of my teas. That being said, if you’re unsatisfied for any reason, please reach out and I’ll be happy to make it right by sending a replacement product, an alternate tea, or issuing a refund. I don’t want my customers stressing about anything, so please shoot me an email and let me know how I can help out.

Do you grow your own ingredients?

While this was in my original vision, I quickly learned that I don’t possess the experience or knowledge to grow the 50+ varieties of herbs, teas, botanicals, and spices I use throughout my tea collection. I source my ingredients from all around the world—leaving the growing to the experts.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Do you offer bulk discounts for events like weddings, hospitality, and corporate events?

Is your pottery dishwasher safe?

Absolutely. My pottery is fired up to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit, it can withstand the 200 degree environment in your dishwasher. In fact, I recommend using a dishwasher to ensure that every nook and cranny of texture is sanitized. While we’re on the subject, while some of my ceramics are completely microwave safe, many are also less-suited for the conditions found in a microwave. Some pieces include high levels of iron and will heat up exceptionally quickly. So while you may choose to experiment, I don’t recommend microwave use.

Do you accept custom orders for pottery?

Sometimes! There’s a lot that goes into my consideration of custom orders. Is this a one off piece? A run of 100 identical coffee cups? Am I already elbow deep in another project or preparing for a specific festival? I love discussing custom orders, especially for folks looking for a quantity of unique forms.
